Walk MS

April 22, 2017

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society in San Diego will host the 2017 San Diego County Credit Union Walk MS, starting at 5pm, along Armada Drive in Carlsbad. National MS Society officials expect about 3,500 people will walk to help raise more than $400,000 for MS research, along with programs and services for people with MS. The route for the three-mile walk will overlook the Carlsbad Flower Fields and loop around Legoland California. The festival site will feature live music, vendor booths, a kid zone, and more. Free snacks and beverages will be provided to walkers, along with a festive finish line celebration with live music.

Since 1989, Walk MS has been known for drawing a large number of teams representing businesses, neighborhoods, clubs, community groups, churches, and family members and friends of a person with MS. Many teams come up with a team name and outfit their members with costumes, including T-shirts, hats or balloons.

On-site registration will be available. Walkers will have the opportunity to earn prizes, including t-shirts, movie tickets, and gift cards, based on the amount of donations they collect. walkms.org
