City Ballet Silver Jubilee

The Hotel del Coronado was the setting for City Ballet of San Diego’s Silver Jubilee Gala. Co-chairs Rita Steel and Lauren Steel, along with their committee, planned City Ballet’s most successful gala to date, surpassing their goal and raising more than $200,000. Artistic Director Steven Wistrich spoke about the dream that he, his wife Elizabeth, resident choreographer, and Managing Director Jo Anne Emery had 25 years ago to provide San Diego with a world-class ballet company. Proceeds ensure that City Ballet of San Diego continues to present ballet and education and outreach programs to 200,000+ children and patrons annually.
