Masterpiece Gala
Patrons of the Prado's Masterpiece Gala, this
year themed "Midnight in Paris," transported
guests to the City of Light to relish the rich culture
and adventure of 1920s Paris. The evening's
festivities included a premier silent auction, live
entertainment, live auction, wine opportunity
drawing, French cuisine by Jeffrey Strauss of
Pamplemousse Grille, and dancing to the music of
NRG. The 2021 Icon Award honorees were Jack
McGrory and Una Davis; gala co-chairs were
Merridee Book, Roxi Link, and Julie Cowan
Novak. This year's beneficiaries included Fleet
Science Center, Mingei International Museum,
Museum of Photographic Arts, Museum of Us,
San Diego History Center, San Diego Junior
Theatre, The San Diego Museum of Art,
San Diego Natural History Museum,
The Old Globe, and Timken Museum of Art.
