was searching for whales off Dana Point, billed as the "Whale Watching Capital of the World." When he wasn't on whale watch, Donoho was enjoying first class service and amenities at the recently renovated Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel. What a life! In "At Home with Michael Dorvillier and Tracy Hoogenberg," I visit the couple's stunning hilltop home overlooking the La Jolla shore. Dorvillier is again at the helm — or rather, wheel — of the La Jolla Concours d'Elegance, the three-day classic car show from April 22-24. Ranch & Coast is proud to be the show's exclusive print media partner for the 16th annual event, which draws cars and car enthusiasts from around the globe to La Jolla Cove. Please join us! In this issue, we offer two fantastic reasons to hit the road. Travel Editor Elizabeth Hansen explores Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, where she and her husband hiked, enjoyed a four-wheel-drive excursion, and booked a stay at a longtime standby, La Casa del Zorro Resort & Spa.
