The two-day event will begin with a private evening cruise from Puerto Vallarta to Yelapa for a must-see "Rhythms of the Night" dinner show. After a day of leisure, guests will experience the "Noches de Carnaval" fundraising event at Casa Velas, a luxury all-inclusive boutique resort, where they will also be staying. "Big Brothers, Big Sisters of San Diego County and its Community Mentoring Program for At-Promise Youth were chosen as beneficiaries by our Board of Directors to fulfill our mission by helping children, including those from military families," says Sandra den Ujil, president of the Tea3 Foundation Board of Directors. tea3foundation.org/events 23rd Annual Secret Garden Tour of La Jolla MAY 14 | MULTIPLE PRIVATE GARDENS The La Jolla Historical Society presents the return of the Secret Garden Tour. For more than two decades, this celebrated community event has provided the opportunity to step into the extraordinary world of La Jolla's private gardens while supporting the society's exhibitions and educational programs. This year's theme of "Tranquil Vistas" reflects the calm and escape that a garden can provide. Each garden will be enhanced with live musicians, plein air artists, and dining table designs. There are two ways to experience the gardens: either Self-Guided or the popular Platinum Tour, which includes an elegant brunch and docent-led shuttle service to the gardens. Returning again is The Secret Garden Boutique at Wisteria Cottage, featuring gardening accessories, plants, and gifts available for purchase. lajollahistorical.ticketsauce.com/e/secret-gardens-tour Women's Empowerment International Luncheon MAY 14 | SANTA YSABEL NATURE CENTER The WE (Women's Empowerment) Giving Circle in Julian is hosting a fundraising luncheon from 11am-2pm, titled "Julian Circle Soup WISE — Celebrating Women's Impact, Sustainability, and Empowerment" featuring eight soups (and much more), a silent auction, live entertainment, and a presentation by Diana Lindsay, award-winning author and photographer.
