Voices of Our City Choir Steven Dinkin and Barbara F. Walter Rolf and Mary Benirschke NCRC staff with Michael Brunker 34th Annual Peacemaker Awards e National Conflict Resolution Center presented its 34th Annual Peacemaker Awards at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, raising $929,300 for the center while honoring individuals and organizations dedicated to peacemaking in both their own neighborhoods and around the world. e gala, themed "Bridging What Divides Us," spotlighted the importance of civility, peacemaking, and social justice after several years of historic uncertainty and unrest. Longtime San Diego community leader Michael Brunker emceed the event, which honored Barbara F. Walter, Voices of our City Choir, and Rolf and Mary Benirschke. Seen Rory Devine, Monica Logan, Gretchen Burns Bergman, Diana Cavagnaro, and Geni Cavitt Joy Brown, Carol Levy, Paula Day, and Ruth Turoff Jessica Barajas, Grace Meyers, and Erin Liddell Sherrie Ellis, Mary Ann Calcott, and Marilyn Barrett PHOTOGRAPHY BY BOB STEFANKO Diamonds and Divas Soroptimist International of San Diego presented a luncheon and awards ceremony to recognize the Soroptimist Live Your Dream award honorees, recipients of cash grants to female heads of household to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects so that they can achieve economic empowerment. e event, chaired by Erin Liddell, opened with local boutique shopping opportunities, followed by the luncheon and awards ceremony, and a live theatrical fashion show presented by Gretchen Productions. Event emcees were Rory Devine of NBC San Diego and TV personality Geni Cavitt.
