By now, "May Gray" and "June Gloom" are (usually) behind us, and sunny, glorious days stretch ahead. . It is time to savor the summer — long, lazy beach days, backyard barbeques, farmers markets, outdoor concerts at Del Mar's Powerhouse Park, dining al fresco at the many sea-view restaurants along the coast, hiking at Torrey Pines State Beach, and kicking off your shoes and squishing sand between your toes. While there are many worthy festivals and fundraisers to attend this time of year (see our Attend section), this is also time to relax, regenerate, and appreciate what we have. July is also our annual Del Mar-focused issue. In "New, Now, Next," our editors bring you the latest, from a hotel refresh to fitness/wellness offerings. We also offer "Del Mar Dining from A to Z," a roundup of restaurants from Adelaide at L'Auberge Del Mar to Zel's.
