76th Annual Jewel Ball
AUGUST 20 | LA JOLLA BEACH & TENNIS CLUB
Las Patronas' 76th Annual Jewel Ball, "The South Seas," will
take attendees on an exotic island escape. Experience the
La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club transformed into a world of
lush tropical foliage punctuated with the perfume of colorful
flowers and whimsical pops of mid-century Polynesian
design. Guests will be treated to mouthwatering flavors of
Pacific Island cuisine and tropical cocktails as they stroll
through the islands and the deep blues reflecting from
the sea. Supporters will enjoy live music by Wayne Foster
Entertainment. Proceeds will provide grants to the following
beneficiaries: Alpha Project for the Homeless, American Red
Cross, Burn Institute, Feeding San Diego, Forever Balboa Park,
Old Globe Theatre, and San Diego Humane Society. The 2022

present an elegant tea, fashion show by MJH Studios, boutique
shopping, opportunity drawing, and more to support Escuela
Vera Angelita, a nonprofit boarding school for girls nestled
in the cloud forest of Nicaragua. This initiative of U.S.-based
nonprofit Visions Global Empowerment endeavors to break the
cycle of poverty in vulnerable communities by investing in the

Sharp HospiceCare Benefit Regatta

CORONADO YACHT CLUB
The largest summertime water event on San Diego Bay, hosted
by Sharp HospiceCare, Coronado Yacht Club, and Cortez Racing
Association, will support Sharp HospiceCare's Homes for Hospice
program, which offers a unique environment for patients with a life-
limiting illness to meet their needs in a comfortable home setting.
The event kicks off Friday evening with a pre-race dinner and silent
auction, followed by all-day festivities on Saturday, when guests will
board yachts and cruise along the racecourse for a breathtaking
view of the Regatta and San Diego Bay. Leading the effort as event
co-chairs for the 2022 Regatta are Alyce Vessey and Sherri Summers
