she confesses. Lin created her own marketing firm and
production house in San Diego and began doing consulting
work with professional athletes. Ultimately, she started
Wired Right Performance with the then-vice president
of scouting operations for the Padres. Now an ancillary
business alongside the Strike Force, Wired Right is a
content-based educational platform that provides videos on
physical education and health and wellness led by athletes
and performers.
"It's a lot better to hear from your local quarterback about
how to use breathing to reduce anxiety than it is to hear
it from your teacher," says Lin of the videos, which are
distributed to middle and high schools. "And that's what
the Strike Force is all about — helping to inspire our youth
and community."
When asked about serving as the first AAPI woman to
lead a professional football team in the United States, Lin
says, "Whenever you pioneer something, it's going to be
new. It's been an amazing experience, and I've also learned
a lot of lessons. at's something my mom taught me — to
love the process of learning. If you embrace everything you
do as a learning opportunity, you'll find yourself not only
getting better but loving that process. I'm honored that the
San Diego community has embraced me, and I want to
honor them by continuing to do the very best that I can."
