Springtime, Tea Time
e Vision of Children Foundation
presented a spring tea co-chaired by Maria
Delgado, Tamara Lafarga-Joseph, and
Lynne Wheeler, complete with a full tea
service, silent auction, opportunity drawing,
and live music. Boutique shopping was
available, and vendors donated a portion
of their proceeds to the Vision of Children
Foundation, which supports research for
ocular albinism and related vision disorders
with research projects currently underway at
e Shiley Eye Institute at UC San Diego
Health, e Jules Stein Eye Institute at
UCLA, and the University of Iowa. Event
proceeds helped fund critical vision research
to find cures for genetic vision disorders and
childhood blindness, and to provide support
services for children living with blindness or
visual impairment and their families.
