she confesses. Lin created her own marketing firm and production house in San Diego and began doing consulting work with professional athletes. Ultimately, she started Wired Right Performance with the then-vice president of scouting operations for the Padres. Now an ancillary business alongside the Strike Force, Wired Right is a content-based educational platform that provides videos on physical education and health and wellness led by athletes and performers. "It's a lot better to hear from your local quarterback about how to use breathing to reduce anxiety than it is to hear it from your teacher," says Lin of the videos, which are distributed to middle and high schools. "And that's what the Strike Force is all about — helping to inspire our youth and community." When asked about serving as the first AAPI woman to lead a professional football team in the United States, Lin says, "Whenever you pioneer something, it's going to be new. It's been an amazing experience, and I've also learned a lot of lessons. at's something my mom taught me — to love the process of learning.
