the company in 2021, and his arts involvement includes a term
as President of La Jolla Playhouse, where he is a current trustee,
and MCASD Board Chair from 2013-2017. Also joining
the MCASD Board as trustees are four active community
volunteers: Celia Henely, Anna Haudenschild Meier, James
Robbins, and Tom Rosso.

e Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego has welcomed
Steven M. Strauss as Board President and offered a fond
farewell and gratitude to Dr. Paul E. Jacobs for his years of
service. A La Jolla resident, Strauss is a third-generation San
Diegan and the son of Iris and Matthew Strauss, well-known
philanthropists and art collectors. e newly reopened Iris and
Matthew Strauss Galleries are named in recognition of their
