Helen Woodward Animal Center's elegant Spring
Fling Gala, presented by Portia Metras Realtor
Coldwell Banker, also celebrated another special
anniversary — the 50th year since the center's
founding. e gala highlighted the landmark
in its theme, "e Golden Age of Hollywood,"
which was headed by committee co-chairs Jamie
Carr and Mary Russo-Cuzens and was emceed
by KUSI's Mark Mathis. Guests strolled through
Tinsel Town streets complete with classic character
impersonators, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a
silent auction of exquisite one-of-a-kind items.
Committee restaurant chair Ann Dizney secured
an impressive restaurant lineup including Dolce,
Beeside Balcony, e Fish Market, and Poseidon,
to name a few. Following dinner, guests delighted
in sweet treats, a rousing live auction, and live
entertainment by Haute Chili.
