"e Fur Ball is a unique evening where we get a chance to showcase our lifesaving work and share examples of the incredible difference our staff and volunteers make every single day," said Dr. Gary Weitzman, president and CEO of San Diego Humane Society. Guests enjoyed an exquisite vegetarian meal and wine selections prepared by Chef Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille, live and silent auctions, and an after-party with live music by Haute Chile. David Bialis and Diana Breister Eric Zwisler, Randy Lowenstein, Tori Zwisler, Gary Weitzman, Fran Deutsch, Carole Leland, Dagmar Midcap, and Geoffrey Ball David Collins and Shelley Curtis with Remy Martin David Bialis and Diana Breister, Richard Davis, and Suzanne and Jon Husby Trevor and Cristal Outman Jeffrey and Dana Vandersip Wine & Wishes Make-A-Wish San Diego's Wine & Wishes gala raised a record-breaking $825,000 (and counting). e joy-themed event was held at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar and raised funds to grant more than 80 future wishes to children with critical illnesses in San Diego.Make-A-Wish San Diego Board Champions Lisa Paul-Hill and Dustin Cano led the charge for this year's event, and co- emcees included Steven Luke, news anchor with NBC 7 San Diego, and wish kid Julia. More than 325 guests attended the event, which included a successful live auction featuring world-renowned surf legend Rob Machado. Make-A-Wish San Diego board member Tiffany Scarborough and her husband Terry Beck pledged $100,000 to kick off the Fund-A-Wish paddle raise.
