LANVIN: PHOTO BY KORT HAVENS Also new at South Coast Plaza is Lanvin, showcasing the latest innovations from the oldest continuously operating couture house in Paris, which recently named Peter Copping its new artistic director. The boutique, designed by Bernard Dubois, draws inspiration from the Art Deco and Neoclassical movements which are integral to the house's heritage. Lanvin offers women's and men's ready-to-wear, footwear, leather goods, and accessories, as well as dedicated spaces for Lanvin Lab — collaborations with creatives from other industries — and Edition Soir, a line of evening wear and accessories. 714.706.3240, lanvin.com What's Now French fashion house Celine is now open at Fashion Valley, offering seasonal clothing and accessories for men and women, plus Haute Parfumerie and Maison lifestyle collections. Leather goods have a strong focus, including the new "Nino" handbag crafted by skilled leathermakers in supple calfskin and embellished with the iconic "Triomphe" signature hardware which has an interesting back story. When her car broke down near the Arc de Triomphe in 1971, Celine Vipiana, the house's founder and designer, noticed the chain link around the famous landmark, which became the house's monogram. Current Artistic Director Hedi Slimane modernized the emblem when he took over the house in 2018. 858.289.0681, celine.com In the village of Rancho Santa Fe, Luciana Emilia is a luxury lifestyle brand featuring evening and formal wear, cocktail dresses, and wedding attire including fashion for the bride, groom, and mother of the bride. "We are so excited to bring the Boulevard magic to the Ranch," says owner and founder Kate Whitney. "This is a community store and it's all about sustainability — sustaining our environment and sustaining ourselves to dress the way we love. A year ago this month, we were the first consignment store in history to be invited onto the New York Fashion Week runway for sustainable clothing, showing the fashion giants: Chanel, McQueen, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy — and we plan to bring this high-fashion vibe to the village combined with a humble passion for pairing women with their favorite pieces." With a commitment to giving back, Boulevard contributes to the Judy Shaw Foundation, Bella's House for Hope, Father Joe's Villages, and its own nonprofit, Equitarian, dedicated to the well- being of horses. "We can't wait to meet the women of the village!" says Whitney. The boutique will start taking in consignments on September 3. 619.613.7715, boulevardconsignment.com ANDREA NAVERSEN & MIA PARK Luciana Emilia Celine Boulevard RANCH & COAST MAGAZINE SEPTEMBER 2024 77 Lanvin
