Meals on Wheels San Diego County
For many seniors, the real hunger is for human connection. Meals on Wheels San
Diego's caring staff and network of more than 3,500 volunteers come together to
deliver over 650,000 meals each year, offering so much "More than a Meal." Each
day the nonprofit makes connections to combat feelings of isolation, perform
vital wellness checks to make sure our seniors are safe, and provide peace of
mind to clients and their loved ones. Since 1960, Meals on Wheels has served
over 22 million meals and continues to expand to meet the needs of the fastest
growing segment of our population: seniors. By 2026, the organization aims to
deliver one million meals per year.
