Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank
The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank has served as the regional food
safety net for families facing food insecurity since 1977, providing nutritious food
to people in need, advocating for the hungry, and educating the public about
hunger-related issues. The Food Bank hosts distributions and works with over 540
nonprofit partners to get fresh and shelf-stable food into the hands of families,
seniors, and children throughout San Diego County. This holiday season, the
Food Bank invites the community to support its critical hunger-relief programs
by donating at Albertsons, Vons, and Pavilions supermarkets to help provide
holiday meals and groceries to families in need. For more information visit

soaring rents, and higher utility
bills, coupled with the region's
overall high cost of living
• Currently the Food Bank is
serving on average 400,000
people per month. Last year,
the Food Bank distributed more
than 50 million pounds of food
and supplies, with fresh fruits
and vegetables comprising
44% of the total
• Every dollar donated provides
enough food for two meals to
San Diegans in need
