2025 Cool Women Celebration MARCH 14 | MARRIOTT MARQUIS SAN DIEGO MARINA Girl Scouts San Diego will honor exemplary women whose personal and professional lives make them outstanding role models for girls. During the 2025 luncheon and ceremony, five Cool Women will share the spotlight with 53 Emerging Leader Girl Scouts in grades 10-12 who are recognized for their achievements and commitment to leadership. Proceeds support programs that empower Girl Scouts to develop a strong sense of self, step outside their comfort zones, use their voices, and build resilience. sdgirlscouts.org/coolwomen San Diego Animal Sanctuary & Farm 12th Annual Fundraiser MARCH 21 | BAHIA RESORT HOTEL The San Diego Animal Sanctuary & Farm, a 20-acre farm in Alpine, is hosting its 12th annual fundraising gala with "Back to the '80s" as the theme. The evening event is crucial to support the animal sanctuary's ongoing operations and allows the farm to continue caring for more than 200 rescued animals. With Lindsey Peña of 10News as the evening's emcee, the event will kick off with a cocktail reception, followed by a three-course gourmet dinner with wine and dancing. The organization, led by President Ferol Henkels along with WOD event chair Vivian Tuck and co-chairs Nayda Locke and Inez J. Thomas, will honor 12 extraordinary women for their dedication to our community through volunteerism and service. The honorees include Valerie Attisha, Paula Cordeiro, Susan Davey, Julie Dubick, Kim Folsom, Fabienne Hanks, Kristie Bruce-Lane, Deanna Mackey, Colleen Peterson, Susan Polizzotto, Linda Spuck, and Janean Stripe.
