Marci Cavanaugh, the nonprofit's longtime funding director, explained that each request for funds is carefully vetted through a process that includes questionnaires, interviews, and site visits, as well as follow ups to make sure funds are used as designated. Emphasis is on programs that benefit women, children, the elderly, the homeless, military families, and those with disabilities. Each fall, TCF's Board of Directors meets to review funding requests and vote on which nonprofits will receive grants. e new funding co-directors for 2025 are Laura MacKinnon Chapman, Christina Macone- Greene, and Amber Yoo.
