The Meals on Wheels San Diego
annual gala is the nonprofit's largest
event of the year. Last year, at Rio
Carnival: A Samba Soiree, they raised
over $400,000 for San Diego seniors
and disabled veterans while guests
delighted in a Chef's Appetizer
Showcase, competed for the chance
to win an exquisite wine collection,
dined on award-winning cuisine, and
sambaed the night away.
While the theme of the Meals on
Wheels San Diego Gala may change
every year, what won't change is the
need to care for San Diego's seniors.
With 1 in 4 adults reaching the age
of 65 by 2030, Meals on Wheels San
Diego needs to be prepared for
significant growth this year to ensure
no one goes hungry or feels alone.
