Pyeatt Memorial Golf Tournament, welcoming players of all skill levels. This year's event features special celebrity guest John Daly II and will honor the legacy of Sgt Lucas T. Pyeatt and all who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. This annual event is a powerful tribute to our fallen heroes and a vital fundraiser supporting programs for veterans, active-duty Marines and their families, and the families of the fallen. As Sgt Pyeatt wrote in his final letter home: "I'll keep safe and keep my guys safe. If anything should happen to me though, just know that you've given me the best life I could have possibly had... that I'm happy, and that I'm here where I belong doing what I am supposed to be doing. I have no regrets." These words continue to inspire the MCRD Museum Foundation's mission. mcrdmuseumfoundation.org/golf-tournament-2025 Tea & Tonic JUNE 5 | HOTEL DEL CORONADO Center for Community Solutions will welcome activist, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, and The New York Times best-selling author Amanda Nguyen as the speaker at its 26th Annual Tea & Tonic fundraising event. A survivor of sexual assault in 2013 when she was an astrophysics student at Harvard, Nguyen is now an advocate for survivors and just became the first Vietnamese woman to go to space when she flew aboard the New Shepard rocket at the Blue Origin launch. Tea & Tonic's inspiring afternoon brings together business, philanthropic, and community leaders in support of survivors of relationship and sexual violence. All proceeds benefit the free, life-saving programs and services offered by CCS, including a 24/7 confidential crisis hotline, four domestic violence shelter programs, counseling, legal services, prevention education, and more. ccssd.org/tea-tonic Baja Bash JUNE 14 | PRIVATE SOLANA BEACH ESTATE International conservation group Wildcoast will host the Baja Bash to raise awareness and funds for its ocean conservation and climate action programs. The event also supports Wildcoast's programs to preserve wild coastlines and wildlife in California and beyond. This year's fundraiser will take place at a private Solana Beach estate overlooking the lagoon and coast, where guests will celebrate the nonprofit's high-impact conservation work as well as the organization's 25th anniversary while enjoying gourmet food stations with San Diego and Baja chefs including Javier Plascencia (Animalón, Finca Altozano, Jazamango), Jojo Ruiz (Lionfish, Temaki, Serea), William Eick (Matsu), Kelli Crosson (The Lodge at Torrey Pines), Karen Krasne (Extraordinary Desserts), Chris Ruhl (Lana), and more. The highly curated epicurean affair will also feature fresh sustainable seafood, farm fresh produce, small batch tequila and mezcal, fine wines from the Russian River Valley, and craft beers. wildcoast.org Helen Woodward Animal Center Spring Fling Gala JUNE 14 | LA VALLE COASTAL CLUB The 37th annual Helen Woodward Animal Center Spring Fling Gala, presented by Whittier Trust, will bring together seafaring animal lovers for an evening of dancing, dining, fine wine, and donating to help make waves in the big ocean of animal welfare.
