New Home for Women's History Honoring women who shape our communities and our world anks to a $1 million grant from e Peggy and Robert Matthews Foundation, as well as support from the Conrad Prebys Foundation, the Center for Women's History will have a permanent gallery in the SDHC located in the Casa de Balboa building along El Prado for research, exhibitions, education, and preservation. e gallery will feature educational programming, interactive exhibits, and display a rotating collection from the W omen in San Diego County now have a permanent place to call home, to gather, and to share their stories and accomplishments. What was once known as the Women's Museum of California has officially merged into the San Diego History Center (SDHC) in Balboa Park.
