Feeding San Diego San Diego is on a mission to connect every person facing hunger with nutritious meals by maximizing food rescue. Everyone needs nutritious food to thrive, and San Diegans are working hard to provide for themselves and their families. But with inflation and the high cost of living, there are nearly 400,000 people experiencing food insecurity throughout the county. Established in 2007, Feeding San Diego rescues surplus food from local and national food donors before it goes to the landfill and works with a network of community partners to get it to people in need of nutritious meals. Your support helps people bring food home to their families this holiday season and throughout the year. Every $1 donated helps provide two meals.
