Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and
North County Food Bank chapter
The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and its North County Food Bank
chapter have been on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis since the pandemic
reached San Diego County in mid-March. The Food Bank distributes food to
families, children and seniors in need at 200 sites throughout the county and
through its Super Pantry Program. Visit SanDiegoFoodBank.org/GetHelp for
details. Since mid-March, the Food Bank has distributed 39 million pounds of food
and is currently feeding nearly 600,000 people per month due to skyrocketing
demand for food assistance. This holiday season, the Food Bank asks the
community to donate $5 Hunger Bags at Albertsons and Vons supermarkets. The
community can also make monetary donations online and register to volunteer
at its Miramar and Vista warehouse locations.
