Shelter to Soldier
Shelter to Soldier is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that adopts dogs from local
rescue organizations and shelters and trains them to become psychiatric
service dogs for post-9/11 combat veterans suffering from Post Traumatic
Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and other injuries associated with
traumatic service experiences. The program also places Emotional Support
Animals (ESAs) with qualifying active duty military personnel and veterans,
and deploys their Shelter to Soldier Canine Ambassadors (therapy dog team)
in the community to provide visits of love and comfort to active duty military,
veterans, and their families.

provide a sense of purpose
