Throughout our country's history, the men and women who have served in the
military have been the cornerstone of the American way and helped preserve
our extraordinary freedoms…life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Without the
service of so many, the recognition of the United States as a beacon of freedom
would never have been possible.
The Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial reflects our thanks to our nation's
veterans for their service to our country. Today, we remain steadfast to our pledge
to honor and preserve the legacy of our veterans — "HELP US TELL THEIR STORIES."
