Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival is set to return to North Park for the fifth consecutive year. The one-day event will feature dozens of local ice cream, gelato, and paleta shops from across San Diego, all helping to raise money for a good cause: the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Scoop has added new features to the festival this year including an expanded VIP Ice Cream Lounge and a new pup station for four-legged family members complete with a cooling station, grassy area, water bowls, and treats. In addition, Circus Joy will wow the crowds with stilt walkers and entertainers performing thrilling acrobatics. The food bank will also be present, with their large branded truck and representatives on hand to collect food donations and speak with attendees about the services they offer. MEOW Athos came to the shelter with two of his feline friends and may do well in a new home with another cat companion. Athos is a bit of a shy guy and will benefit from a new family who takes time to get to know his habits, likes, and dislikes. Regal Athos is available for adoption at SDHS' Oceanside Campus. Adoption fee: $65 MEOW Diana is the next royal who will make headlines. With her stunning coat and graceful demeanor, she's a princess among felines, and loves cuddles as much as being pampered. This 3-year-old is ready to rule your heart. Adoption fee: $130 MEOWTulip is a 2-year-old, 10-pound Domestic Short Hair cat with a Blue and White coat. She was transferred to RCHS from a rescue partner in Riverside County through FOCAS. Tulip was adopted, then returned to the shelter a few weeks later because she didn't get along with the dog in the house. Adoption fee: $100 WOOF Omid is a young and high-spirited 16-month-old Anatolian Shepherd blend who loves to play with her favorite people. Despite her past, Omid has kept her fun-loving personality and continues to smile every day! She's available to meet by appointment. Adoption fee: $375 WOOF Munty is an 11-month-old, 50-pound Shepherd mix. A good Samaritan picked him up as a stray and took him to a rescue partner in Riverside County. He was transferred to RCHS through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS). He will do best in a home with a family that is home all the time, or with another dog. This 5-year-old Doberman Pinscher Mix adores being around people and will soak up all the attention she can get.
