The event will celebrate last year's successes, highlight the inspiring stories of former clients who've flourished since completing ECS programs, and showcase the bright future ahead. In addition to the main event, ECS Emerging Leaders will host their second annual Sunset Social featuring an ensemble of gourmet hors d'oeuvres, entertainment, and beautiful views of the San Diego Marina. Join event committee members Andrea Moser, Kristi Pfister, Lauree Sahba, and Michelle Weinger for an afternoon of inspiring stories from the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program, philanthropy, and fun to lift up the voices of our community's most vulnerable children in foster care. The program will feature a dynamic conversation with special guests Elizabeth and Stephen Wampler. The nationally and internationally acclaimed film Wampler's Ascent documents Stephen's accomplishment as the first person with cerebral palsy to climb El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. The Wamplers now lead the Stephen J. Wampler Foundation, inspiring children with disabilities to achieve their dreams and lead fulfilling lives. Their work is particularly relevant to Voices for Children's mission, as nearly one- third of children in foster care live with physical or intellectual disabilities. CASAs play a crucial role in advocating to ensure their needs are met. speakupnow.org Maggie Bobileff and Tamara Lafarga-Joseph BAGS & BAUBLES: PHOTO BY JUSTIN JANGER UPLIFTING VOICES: COURTESY OF VOICES FOR CHILDREN THE COUNTRY FRIENDS: PHOTO BY BOB STEFANKO ECS: PHOTO BY BOB STEFANKO Elliot and Sarah Honaker at Moonlight Magic 2022
