Dynamic Duo D&K Curated brings fashion and retail to Rancho Santa Fe aesthetic — a smile, a hug, a chic piece of fashion that makes you feel great wearing it." Jackson says the partners have a larger purpose: to help spark a revival of retail in the Ranch. "Many of our friends and clients in Rancho Santa Fe have constantly been saying for years, 'We wish someone would understand that we desperately need retail and specialty shops to return to the Village,'" says Jackson. Given their backgrounds in real estate, and Wennstrom's roots in fashion as a former high-end boutique owner in Philadelphia, they believe they can help make that happen. "Giving back to our community is the right thing to do," Jackson insists. "e Village should be where locals can live, dine, and shop for the entire family." Jackson and Wennstrom connected with the Clotfelter family, called the "First Family of Rancho Santa Fe" because their real estate roots go back to the 1930s. e partners learned that a Clotfelter building on Paseo Delicias was up for sale. "Fortunately, as faith would have it, the purchase opportunity was not on the open market," says Jackson. "e family knew of my dreams, and they felt we were the right fit." Jackson and her husband Bob bought the property and D&K Curated found its home in the Village. e boutique, located at 6012 Paseo Delicias, Suite #1, carries Dôen, Hunter Bell, Classic Prep, Troy London, Simkhai, Jonathan Cohen, and many more. "It's also important to us to spotlight creators and give them a place to shine," Wennstrom notes, such as La Jolla-based Carla Pascal Modiano of CPM Jewelry. "is local designer's collection, inspired by the sea, suits our style well of weaving together the ranch and coast." D&K also sponsors trunk shows and other events to bring the community in. Earlier this year, they welcomed Meredith Melling, a former Vogue editor and co-founder of the fashion line La Ligne, and former Lilly Pulitzer vice president Jane Winchester Paradis of Jane Win Jewelry, for a "Sip & Shop" and fashion Q&A. At another event, D&K featured a fashion show highlighting Simkhai's spring-summer collection, and later this spring, they'll host Tonne Goodman, Vogue's former creative director and now the magazine's sustainability editor, with more events to come. D&K is open from 10am-4pm Monday through Friday and Saturday by appointment.
