"When you get done playing a professional sport, and you do it every day, like with baseball, and you pretty much live, eat, breathe baseball, and you're in competition, that's all you do — that's your life. When it's over, you don't get to do anything that can fill that void," says Werth. But then, he did just that. Baseball was good to Jayson Werth. He was a first-round draft pick, played 15 years in the big leagues, hoisted the Commissioner's Trophy with the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2008 World Series, and was selected for the 2009 All-Star Game.
