Guests enjoyed Oaxacan cuisine prepared by Chef José Cepeda and his team at the Lafayette Hotel's restaurant, Quixote. Entertainment included the close-up magic of Greg Wilson and dancing to the music of Ruby and the Red Hots, and guests met and heard from Brenlu Pineda, who grew up in rural Mexico and knows firsthand the challenges that ECOLIFE addresses. e nonprofit was founded in 2003 by San Diego native Bill Toone, renowned for his high- profile role in the recovery of the California condor during the 1980s.
