Fairmont Grand Del Mar, in collaboration with the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, presents The Grand Stakes Escape, an exclusive package that seamlessly blends luxury accommodations with the world of thoroughbred racing. Enjoy an overnight stay at the award-winning resort, along with VIP access to the legendary Del Mar Racetrack, including a private paddock tour, a walk along the finish line, and an intimate visit to the winner's circle. Hosted by the Del Mar Foundation, the Del Mar Summer Twilight Concert Series is back, bringing free live music just steps from the sand at Powerhouse Park. Bring a picnic, enjoy the sunset, and soak in the summer vibes. Concert dates include Venice and The Pine Mountain Logs on July 8, T.A. Tomlinson & Co. and The Mighty Untouchables on July 29, and Taryn Donath Trio and Billy Nation – Billy Joel Tribute on August 12. Back by popular demand, Comedy Nights, presented by Del Mar Village Association, continue the first Friday of every month through October in the Jim Watkins Amphitheatre at L'Auberge Del Mar. Arrive at 7:30pm to pick your seats, and bring your blankets or lawn chairs. Bar service will be available. On Sunday, July 27, Haim Salon at Del Mar Plaza presents a Coastal Luxe Beauty & Wellness Event, an uplifting morning designed to leave you glowing inside and out. Soak up the sunshine and enjoy an outdoor yoga class with The Yoga Barre, skin treatments by SkinSpirit, exclusive pop-up vendors, styling touch-ups, DIY floral bouquets, and more — all featuring stunning views on the Ocean View Deck. Goodie bags and exclusive freebies are available with a reservation, but the event is completely open to the public. What's Next Valley Farm Market, a specialty gourmet market and butcher shop, will unveil its third San Diego location at Del Mar Plaza this summer. The family-owned business with a 60-year history is taking shape in a prominent street-front space, with plans to include a deli-style eatery concept showcasing high quality ingredients, freshly caught seafood, and daily prepared dishes including ceviches and poke bowls. Felix and Eleanor Marso established the first Valley Farm in Spring Valley in 1952, and it has since remained a family business under the direction of their grandson, Derek Marso. The Del Mar Village Association presents its next "Keep Del Mar Green" Community Cleanup on Saturday, September 27, from 10 to 11:30am. Meet at the 17th Street Del Mar Lifeguard Station before spreading out across the beach, parks, and nearby streets to collect litter that would otherwise pollute our precious waterways. To make your efforts even more rewarding, the Del Mar Lifeguards will treat volunteers to a delicious breakfast. On the restaurant front, two exciting new additions are in the works in Del Mar Village. The Honor Bar by Beverly Hills-based Hillstone Restaurant Group will be located in the former Bully's North spot, while a fourth Queenstown concept will open in the former home of WestBrew Del Mar at the corner of Camino Del Mar and 15th Street.
