The sneak peek event from 5 to 8pm will feature Never Die Young, a James Taylor tribute band, followed by Fleetwood Max. Situated in La Jolla among world-renowned research organizations and Curebound research partner institutions — Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego, Salk Institute, Sanford Burnham Prebys, Rady Children's Hospital, La Jolla Institute for Immunology, and Scripps Research — the UC San Diego site for Curebound Cancer Challenge will put a spotlight on the San Diego scientific community that has made tremendous strides in the race to find cures for cancer. Curebound Cancer Challenge will feature three world-class rides along San Diego's Torrey Pines coastline, a family friendly 5K, a new 10K run, 50-minute spin classes, entertainment, family activities, and a team village where participants can gather, honor loved ones battling cancer, and celebrate their fundraising to put an end to cancer. curebound.org 9th Annual CaddyHack AUGUST 4 | FAIRBANKS RANCH COUNTRY CLUB The one-of-a-kind CaddyHack Golf Festival in support of Boys to Men Mentoring combines a full day of golf with non-stop entertainment, culinary delights, and a whole lot of fun — all for a great cause. Known for its festival-meets-fairway experience, CaddyHack transforms traditional golf into an unforgettable party on the greens. The festivities begin at "Restaurant Row," featuring crowd favorites like Tap Truck, Phil's BBQ, Monarch Ocean Pub, Dang Brother, Brandt Beef, and more. it doesn't stop there — over 15 live bands and performers will be stationed throughout the course, offering everything from rock to reggae, stand-up comedy to magic shows. Guests will be welcomed into a richly decorated ballroom with chandeliers, luxurious draperies, delicate florals, and refined gold-leafed detail — all crafted by Las Patronas members during a year of creative preparation. "We want to shine a light on the vital role that the performing arts play in building community, especially after the challenges faced by so many artists during the pandemic," says Jewel Ball Chair Katherine Kozo. As guests dine, the music of Wayne Foster Entertainment will provide energy and excitement, setting the tone for the rest of the evening.
