Gala-goers will enjoy all-day preferred parking, a hosted beer and wine bar, gourmet food stations, and a 35th anniversary celebration culminating in VIP grandstand seating for country music performer Sam Hunt. The gala will present Don Diego's 2022 college scholarship recipients, who will mingle with guests and donors, be recognized, and help auction off unique items. "This year's event is very special as we reunite three years after our last gala and celebrate 35 years of building a better San Diego, one scholarship at a time. We encourage people to buy tickets before the event sells out," says Don Diego board chair Juanita Hayes. Tickets are $350, with a $50 discount if purchased by June 13. dondiegoscholarship.org ICA Greener Gala 2022 JUNE 25 | ICA SAN DIEGO NORTH CAMPUS The Institute of Contemporary Art, San Diego's ICA Greener Gala 2022 will feature themes of sustainability to tie in with the current ecology-focused season "In this Broad Earth of Ours." Guests will celebrate within the illuminated six-acre property (powered by its own solar panel system) while enjoying food, music, and dancing. "For this year's gala, we are partnering with sustainable organizations to promote tangible actions towards change. We will empower them to offer alternatives for our community to partake in life in a more sustainable way," says Executive Director Andrew Utt. Doors open at 5pm for a VIP cocktail reception with specialty drinks and music by Rumba Ketumba, followed by a remarkable plant-based four-course dinner using produce from local farmers by Chef Flor Franco, Culinary Director of Berry Good Food Foundation. The evening will also include an auction featuring incredible destinations and dancing under the stars.
