The theme is "1920s Glam Meets Great Gatsby, Prohibition Era," and gala chair Michelle Gonzales, MD says, "Ladies and gentlemen, we are hosting jazz royalty at our gala! Trombone is at the top of his game! His energy is palpable!" All proceeds will support the Tri-City Medical Center's Emergency Department redesign. The TCMC ER is an indispensable resource of critical care for the North County coastal communities. Not only will the redesign enhance the overall patient experience with ambient comfort, but its innovative design renovations are aimed to decrease wait times as well. With the help of The David C. Copley Foundation, The Conrad Prebys Foundation, and the community's generosity, Tri-City Hospital Foundation is on track to reach its funding goal of $4.5 million for this exciting project. 760.940.3370, tricityhospitalfoundation.org Saved In America Fundraising Dinner NOVEMBER 17 | PENDRY SAN DIEGO Saved In America's 5th Annual #ChildSavedNotSold fundraising dinner will feature keynote speaker Lara Logan, whose candid reporting, often from the most dangerous places in the world, has earned her a prominent place among the world's best foreign correspondents. Local TV/radio personality Mark Larson will be the master of ceremonies, and Saved In America will honor the McMillen Family Foundation with the #ChildSavedNotSold Award. Saved In America volunteers assist parents and law enforcement to locate missing, runaway, and exploited children, the groups most vulnerable to sex trafficking. For victims of sexual exploitation, SIA assists in procuring legal representation, safe housing, and rehabilitative therapy. Since December 2014, SIA has assisted in the investigation and recovery of more than 260 children nationwide. Sixty percent of all recovered children were found before being trafficked. savedinamerica.org Lara Logan Trombone Shorty @ranchandcoast ranchandcoast.com 52 OCTOBER 2022 RANCH & COAST MAGAZINE
