Holiday Baskets Community Resource Center's 40th Holiday Baskets program will give low-income households the dignity of choice to select the items they need most, helping them have a wonderful holiday while being able to utilize their scarce dollars for other needs such as rent and utilities. Participants will receive vouchers to shop for items at Target in Encinitas and at CRC's Resale stores, along with new blankets and fresh produce. Seniors will receive holiday gift bags, and unsheltered CRC clients will receive backpacks filled with essentials and food. Any gift will help change lives this holiday season. Donations can be made online at crcncc.org/holiday or by texting HOLIDAY to 71777. MEOW Gizmo is a calm and lovable 11-year-old Domestic Short Hair cat with excellent manners. He would like a human best friend who will let him play, sit together, and then snuggle up for a nap. Gizmo is great with his litter box and loves sitting by a window, enjoying the sunshine. Adoption fee: $30 MEOW Teddy is a cuddly 6-month-old Domestic Short Hair blend who loves to roll around and seek scratches. He has such a sweet personality and will make the perfect cuddle buddy. Teddy is a curious fellow who loves to explore and is a very playful little bear. Adoption fee: $145 MEOWPiper is a 4½-year-old, 9-pound Domestic Medium Hair cat with a Blue and White Tabby coat. She was a kitten when she was transferred to RCHS through the FOCAS program. She was adopted and went home to begin her new life. Four years later, her family had a baby and returned Piper. Adoption fee: $100 WOOF Cane is a sweet 5-month-old Retriever blend pup who is still working on his manners but will give you endless puppy kisses! He loves to snuggle into your arms to feel love and comfort. He's a very playful and social baby who needs guidance from an experienced puppy parent. Adoption fee: $495 WOOF Panchito is an 8-year-old, 94-pound Shepherd mix. He was a stray in Riverside County before a good Samaritan picked him up and took him to a shelter. He was transferred to RCHS through the FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) program. Panchito is very much a gentleman who needs a family.
