My husband is amused — or, should I say confused — because I am always rearranging accessories, plumping pillows, and trying to figure out why a certain space is just a bit "off." Should we paint the kitchen cupboards blue in keeping with our coastal theme? Redo the master bath? Paint our home's exterior? So many projects to consider! So, where to start? at's where savvy design professionals come in. In our cover story, I visit the Rancho Santa home of Barry and Natalie Moores, a modern masterpiece designed by renowned architect Robert Griffin with a team of experts including interior designer Maria Barry of Le Dimora, among many others. e Mooreses had definite ideas about what they wanted and were delighted with the finished product. I also talk with the couple about their efforts on behalf of Ukrainian refugees in San Diego to find rental homes, furniture, and resources so that families — mothers, children, and the elderly — can begin to rebuild their lives here. Nearby in Del Sur, I take you inside the home of a young couple who hired Marcia Bryan of Bryan Design Group and her team to transform their house into their forever home. e couple has two young boys, so the renovation needed to keep the kids in mind not only for now, but as they grow. Bryan and her team came up with a comfortable family-friendly home that didn't stint on style. Away from home, Travel Editor Elizabeth Hansen reveals a wonderful resource for travel buffs — the UNESCO World Heritage website — which highlights more than 1,100 places of international and cultural significance.
