GO RED FOR WOMEN: PHOTO BY BOB STEFANKO Attend benefits Go Red for Women Luncheon and Survivor Fashion Show FEBRUARY 24 | THE US GRANT HOTEL It's not just about wearing red. It's not just about sharing heart health facts. It's about all women standing together with Go Red for Women — because one in three women die from heart disease. This year, the American Heart Association wants women to reclaim their heart healthy rhythm. They want women to turn up the tempo, to set a new goal, to remind their loved ones that small actions build up to big changes. The organization notes that nearly three out of every four cardiac arrests happen in homes and is calling for at least one person in every household to learn hands-only CPR this month. Funds raised at the luncheon will help advance women's health through research, education, awareness, and advocacy initiatives. sdgored.heart.org Access Youth Academy 2023 Gala FEBRUARY 25 | PARADISE POINT RESORT AND SPA Access Youth Academy was created in 2006 to transform the lives of underserved youth through academic mentorship and urban squash. In a 12-year commitment that begins in seventh grade, Access students embark on a curriculum of intellectual, physical, and social development where academic enrichment, sports training, and financial support combine to help them realize their full potential. Access Youth Academy's galas are unique in that the evening's hosts and key speakers are current students and program graduates, which provides an opportunity for guests to learn about the organization's impact through firsthand stories. Emceed by Susan Taylor, the evening's festivities include a silent auction and cocktail hour, dinner, program, and fund-a-need paddle raise. 619.795.8727, cindy@accessyouthacademy.org, accessyouthacademy.org Women's History Brunch MARCH 23 | MT.
