ranchandcoast.com 78 MARCH 2023 RANCH & COAST MAGAZINE Las Patronas Beneficiary Luncheon Las Patronas presented seven San Diego nonprofit organizations with checks for more than $20,000 each at its annual Beneficiary Luncheon at e Marine Room. e grants were funded with proceeds from the 76th Annual Jewel Ball, "e South Seas," which took place in August 2022. e major grant beneficiaries included Alpha Project for the Homeless, American Red Cross, Burn Institute, Feeding San Diego, Forever Balboa Park, Old Globe eatre, and San Diego Humane Society. Las Patronas also announced San Diego Gay Men's Chorus as the recipient of its Legacy Society Grant, which is funded from the investment income of the Las Patronas Endowment Fund. e 77th Annual Jewel Ball, "Daisies & Disco," will take place on August 5 at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. After the talk, attendees peeked into the hall for an exclusive performance by principal cellist Yao Zhao and a look at the current renovation construction progress.
