@ranchandcoast RANCH & COAST MAGAZINE JULY 2023 89 Tom and Pam Albergo Adam and Amy Jacobs with Jenn Anderson and Michael De Jung Ileanna Bryant, Rick Horton, and Roxann Janes Lauren Lal, Benji Moore, and Mark Schmitt Dave and Emily Rex with Heidi and Rick Woolsey Michael Baehr, Rob Miller, and Debra and Ed Schwartz Chefs, Cork & Craft Gala e Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank's 11th annual Chefs, Cork & Craft Gala took place under the stars on the grounds of the organization's 90,000-square-foot warehouse facility in Miramar. e event featured live musical entertainment by Republic of Music, fabulous silent and live auction items, delicious drinks, and a multi-course chef- prepared dinner. e event was an incredible success, raising more than $1 million for the Food Bank's vital hunger-relief programs including its Food 4 Kids Backpack Program — the most in gala's history — which provides food-filled backpacks to children living in poverty who are at risk of hunger over the weekend when free school meals are unavailable. Attendees enjoyed food and drinks from chefs and restaurants around the county including e Wise Ox, Pure Taco, e Grill at the Lakehouse Hotel and Resort, Burger Bench, San Diego Catering Company, Dulzura Vineyard and Winery, and Valentina Vineyards, among others. Attendees heared from Habitat's newest homeowners and filled their homes with good wishes by signing the exposed walls and beams on-site. Guests also participated in a silent auction and opportunity drawing and learned about all the ways that San Diego Habitat works within our region.
