OPPOSITE The new entry design added curb appeal with a waterfall stairway and a covered patio with columns. Natural elements, consistent with Craftsman style, include wood trim, natural stone, and exposed rafter tails TOP The once dark and dated living room was transformed by raising the ceiling and changing the size and location of bifold doors to let in more light and offer dazzling ocean views MIDDLE LEFT The formerly small kitchen was updated with a gleaming island and a striking backsplash in shades of blue. The owners retained the breakfast nook overlooking treetops and the ocean beyond. A butler's pantry was added MIDDLE RIGHT The home now has five decks including one off the primary suite with panoramic views LEFT The expansive primary suite, which takes up most of the second floor, has its own workout room that opens onto an ocean-view terrace PHOTOGRAPHY COURTESY OF JACKSON DESIGN & REMODELING @ranchandcoast RANCH & COAST MAGAZINE AUGUST 2024 63
