Enjoy the warm fall weather during an outdoor reception with interactive stations followed by a gourmet dinner and one-of-a-kind raffle and live auction. This year, Serving Seniors welcomes Gary Roland and the Landsharks, the original Jimmy Buffett tribute band who have performed with Jimmy Buffett in Key West and even served as the Margaritaville house band. The event will honor recently retired President & CEO Paul Downey for his 30 years of service. Two in five older adults in our region cannot afford basic rent, food, transportation, or healthcare, so support for the Sunshine Gala changes their lives. servingseniors.org/sunshine Dia del Sol OCTOBER 10 | PARK HYATT AVIARA RESORT The all-volunteer Beach & Country Guild will host its 56th annual Dia del Sol luncheon, "Ethereal Elegance, A Shimmering Celebration," supporting United Cerebral Palsy of San Diego. Co-chaired by Kristin Baldi and Cathy Miller, the event will feature guest speaker RJ Mitte, actor and star of the hit television series Breaking Bad, in which Mitte portrayed a character who, like Mitte, has cerebral palsy. The day will also include a gourmet luncheon, silent and live auctions, and a runway fashion show. All proceeds support UCPSD's diverse programs and services benefiting San Diegans living with cerebral palsy and other disabilities including employment, education, and family services. beachandcountry.org Wine & Wishes "Imagination Gala" OCTOBER 11 | PARK HYATT AVIARA RESORT Make-A-Wish San Diego's Wine & Wishes Gala is supported and attended by over 400 individual and corporate supporters annually. This year's gala will feature a curated selection of California wines, an exciting live auction filled with exclusive and priceless experiences, and an uplifting program that celebrates the power of a wish granted. The program will highlight how wishes inspire imagination not only for children, but also for their families and entire communities, all while raising critical funds to ensure every wish in San Diego is granted without delay. Event chairs Dai and Eric Logan and Make-A-Wish San Diego's Immediate Past Board Chair Lisa Paul-Hill came together once again to lead this year's gala. The event is currently accepting guest names on its waiting list, along with select underwriting sponsor opportunities. sandiego.wish.org/wine Pairings with a Purpose Dinner Party OCTOBER 9 | FOX POINT FARMS Join Feeding San Diego from 6 to 9pm for an intimate Pairings with a Purpose Dinner Party at Fox Point Farms in support of Feeding San Diego's School Pantry Program, which provides nutritious food to families experiencing food insecurity across San Diego County directly on K-12 school campuses. In the coming year, Feeding San Diego is focused on sustaining the program that currently operates at 62 schools — with more than 35 additional schools on the waitlist due to growing need. Culinary Director Alex Carballo will curate a four-course farm-to- table meal using seasonal produce harvested directly from the farm. His commitment to local sourcing, sustainability, and reducing food waste closely aligns with Feeding San Diego's values and vision for a more resilient food system. Guests will also enjoy perfectly paired wines, a live and silent auction, and a wine pull. bit.ly/pairingsoct2025 Jennifer Allyn and Eric Ganci RJ Mitte Brad and Kristen Tvedt with Gary Katz and Suzanne Boggio ranchandcoast.com 48 SEPTEMBER 2025 RANCH & COAST MAGAZINE
