Icker Maillard, Christian Donoe, Doug Austin, and Cristian Lopez Seen The Talk of the Town: Diamonds, Jazz and Dreams e Athenaeum Music & Arts Library welcomed supporters to its annual Talk of the Town benefit, transforming the historic institution into a glamorous celebration themed "Diamonds, Jazz and Dreams." Guests enjoyed an evening of live jazz and big band performances, dancing, signature cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a buffet dinner, and a silent auction featuring unique experiences and items. e festivities began with an exclusive VIP reception offering champagne, caviar, specialty cocktails, and live music. Proceeds supported the Athenaeum's year-round programming, including concerts, exhibitions, lectures, fine arts classes, and its renowned library collections, helping sustain one of the nation's oldest membership libraries. Held at Viewpoint Brewing Co., the event featured great food, local craft brews, and scenic lagoon views. Guests heard powerful student stories and learned more about the organization's impact through academic support, mentorship, and enrichment programs. e evening also honored e Country Friends with the Community Partner Award in recognition of its longstanding support. Proceeds benefited Casa de Amistad's mission to create brighter futures for children and teens throughout coastal North San Diego County.
