Trattoria. Food & Beverage Editor Brandon Hernández dishes with British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who has just debuted another Hell's Kitchen restaurant (named after his popular, long-running television show), this time at Harrah's Resort Southern California. Travel Editor Elizabeth Hansen takes us on a tour of London, her daughter and granddaughter in tow, to explore family- friendly sites including the London Eye (a giant observation wheel in the sky), the Tower of London, the Crown Jewels, Shakespeare's Globe, and of course, afternoon tea. I enjoy a bit of rest and relaxation at the Conrad Punta de Mita, a new luxury resort in Mexico's Riviera Nayarit, a gorgeous setting not far from home. Finally, this issue marks my 16-year anniversary with Ranch & Coast. I want to thank you, our loyal readers, for sharing your stories, and the hardworking R&C staff, led by Bob Stefanko and Mia Park, for providing the opportunity to pursue my passion. It has been quite a ride — and it's not over yet! It also means fall fashion as the latest styles hit the runway on September 15 at e Country Friends Art of Fashion, held for more than 65 years at the historic Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. Presented in partnership with South Coast Plaza for the 18th straight year, the show will once again feature selections from the fall-winter collections of the plaza's top international designers and retailers. Shot on location at a fabulous French country estate in Fairbanks Ranch, we offer a preview of what's in store from Isabel Marant, Max Mara, and Oscar de la Renta. A breathtaking backdrop for our annual Fall Fashion issue, the 3.6-acre property (inset), designed by architect Dan Edson and rebuilt by custom builder Todd Parnell, is listed with the Jason Barry Team of Barry Estates. Ranch & Coast is proud to continue to be the main media sponsor of Art of Fashion. is issue also focuses on Rancho Santa Fe's people and places. Managing Editor Deanna Murphy profiles Steve Fisher, the famed San Diego State men's basketball coach named 2022 Nice Guy of the Year for his contributions to our community and his legacy of kindness, on the court and off. Murphy, a proud graduate of SDSU, also reports on this month's much anticipated opening of the new Snapdragon Stadium. On the foodie front, we highlight dishes from favorite Ranch restaurants including Dolce, Mille Fleurs, Nick & G's, e Pony Room at Rancho Valencia, and Rancho Santa Fe Bistro, plus the neighboring Market Restaurant + Bar and Firenze Andrea Naversen, Editor-at-Large Instagram: @ranchandcoast @ranchandcoast ranchandcoast.com 36 SEPTEMBER 2022 RANCH & COAST MAGAZINE
