Fur Ball OCTOBER 1 | SAN DIEGO HUMANE SOCIETY, GAINES STREET CAMPUS San Diego Humane Society's 36th annual Fur Ball gala is a dog-friendly evening that celebrates the magic of changing animal lives to raise money for the vital services the nonprofit will provide to more than 40,000 animals in 2022. "This year in particular, we have seen an incredible number of animals and people in need of our help, so we are looking forward to inviting our supporters and celebrating the impact they make in our community," says Dr. Gary Weitzman, president and CEO of San Diego Humane Society. "The Fur Ball is a unique evening where we get a chance to showcase our lifesaving work and share examples of the incredible difference our staff and volunteers make every single day." Festivities include a cocktail reception, exquisite vegetarian meal and wine selections prepared by Chef Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille, live and silent auctions featuring fabulous prizes, and an after-party with live music by Haute Chile. sdhumane.org/furball FUR BALL: PHOTO COURTESY OF SAN DIEGO HUMANE SOCIETY MEOW Girl is a special 8-year-old who is both curious and timid at times.
