Summer White Party Mike and Irina Fenison hosted a Summer White Party at their Rancho Santa Fe home. Guests dressed in all white contributed a suggested minimum donation and enjoyed an evening of food, drinks, music, and merriment with proceeds donated directly to e Country Friends, a Rancho Santa Fe-based nonprofit with a mission of "Helping San Diegans since 1954, One Hand at a Time." Guests enjoyed a four-course meal by Top Chef star Angelo Sosa and Chef Ruffo Ibarra, the new executive chef of downtown's e Guild Hotel, in the sparkling courtyard of e Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center. e chefs wore custom Feeding San Diego aprons created by premier sponsor Chef Works, which every guest took home as well. e exquisite menu included a swordfish mosaic with swordfish donated from Tunaville Market, mesquite roasted yam with 511-day aged mole negro, braised short rib, and a miso Basque cheesecake. Guests also sipped on canned cocktails from supporting sponsor Melograno, as well as custom cocktails made with Deep Eddy Vodka, plus wine and beer from Modern Times Beer and e Wine Militia. Local jazz crooner Erica Davies and her band serenaded guests. Funds raised by the dinner helped provide 28,000 meals to San Diegans facing hunger.
