This year, The Blank Table has announced a partnership with Be Saha Hospitality, the local group led by culinary director Janina Garay. The dinners feature a unique theme and menu that showcases the best of Be Saha's elevated culinary offerings (Garay has Michelin-star experience on her résumé). The September 28 dinner will partner with Feeding San Diego to produce Pairings with a Purpose, a culinary experience to raise funds for Feeding San Diego's School Pantry program. On an October date to be announced, The Blank Table will resume its surprise dinner format at another secret location. theblanktablesd.com Cymbiotika San Diego Open Presented by ResMed SEPTEMBER 9-16 | BARNES TENNIS CENTER Featuring the world's top women's professional tennis players, this WTA 500 tournament returns to San Diego for its second year. The tournament will offer $780,637 in prize money and have a 28-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw. Qualifying rounds are scheduled for September 9-10, with main draw matches starting September 11 and concluding with the singles and doubles final on September 16. Last year's star-studded field included the inaugural winner and current World No. 1 Iga Swiatek, with the all-American duo Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula hoisting the tournament's first doubles trophy. Tournament director is former San Diego State Aztec standout and two-time All-American Ryan Redondo. wtasdopen.com ENVZN23 SEPTEMBER 2 | LOGAN HEIGHTS The excitement is building for Vanguard Culture's ENVZN23: Urban Art Takeover, a one-day visual and performing arts festival that will transform industrial spaces, unused buildings, and public areas of Commercial Street in Logan Heights with immersive and interactive art experiences. "ENVZN23 will bridge people and art across borders and boundaries to highlight some of the region's most innovative creators," says Vanguard Culture Founder and Executive Director Susanna Peredo Swap. Featuring 50+ artists and more than a dozen performing arts groups from both sides of the border, the festival promises to amaze and inspire with creative collaborations, live art making, and dozens of multi-sensory experiences.
