Encinitas Rotary Wine & Food Festival e 20th annual Encinitas Rotary Wine & Food Festival took place at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course and featured beverages from 25 wineries, breweries, and other beverage vendors, and samplings from dozens of restaurants. Attendees also enjoyed live music and a robust silent auction. Proceeds benefited the Amanda Post Foundation, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Solana Beach Eco Rotary Club, Encinitas Rotary Club, Encinitas Educational Foundation, Rancho Coastal Humane Society, Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA, Assistance League of Rancho San Dieguito, San Diego North Coast Singers, San Diego LabRats, Heritage Ranch, Mexican American Education Guidance Association, Pacific Southwest Community Development Corporation, and Encinitas Chamber of Commerce. With no overhead and no paid staff, all administrative costs to run the organization are donated by its members. e Nice Guys hold two major fundraisers each year: the Nice Guy of the Year gala in the fall and the auction in the spring, giving supporters an opportunity to contribute to one of San Diego's most deserving charities and bid on fantastic items such as fabulous nights on the town, sports memorabilia, beautiful jewelry, and once-in-a-lifetime vacation packages. Guests were encouraged to dress in Anchorman-style attire for the 1970s-themed evening.
