The event runs from 11am to 3pm both days and includes an hourly parade, people-powered music, and interactive stations that demonstrate how we can collectively tackle some of our planet's greatest climate challenges. Attendees can contribute to an upcycled kelp art project crafted by Barrio Logan-based fabric artist Sew Loca, engage with climate communicators from Estudios Planeteando, and take in improvisational performances by Imagine Theatre Company. Co-chaired by Maggie Bobileff and Sage Billick, the event will feature a delectable lunch, complimentary glass of bubbles and valet parking, boutique shopping, and a presentation by Community Resource Center. In the Athenaeum's historic library, attendees can dance the night away to the sounds of live big band music, or meander through halls viewing the treasured books and dazzling art collected by the Athenaeum over the decades. The popular event brings together local chefs to raise over $150,000 annually to benefit Casa de Amparo's transformative programs that serve foster youth in San Diego County.
