Encinitas resident Dr. Hackett has been practicing veterinary medicine in the San Diego area since 2007. She has a special interest in preventive care, dentistry, surgery, urgent care, and internal medicine, especially diabetes. After graduating from Colorado State University, Dr. Hackett moved to San Diego to fulfill an internship with VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center. There, she gained vital experience in emergency medicine, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery, which she uses every day in urgent care to safely care for her patients. "We are very happy to be in our neighborhood community, bridging the gap between general veterinary practice and emergency care," says Dr. Halsey, who was named President-Elect of the San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association this past January. "We know there is a huge need to service this gap in care, complementing general veterinary care." moonlightvet.com ranchandcoast.com 54 APRIL 2024 RANCH & COAST MAGAZINE
